At the "red dot award: product design 2008", the VIKING T6 Series lawn tractor (model MT 6127 ZL) received an "honourable mention" for its particularly successful and innovative design solutions. This honour was bestowed for the first time this year. VIKING thus counts among the leaders in the design sector.

The VIKING T5 Series lawn tractor (model MT 5097) was bestowed iF product design award 2008. The international panel of judges praised the excellent design quality and functionality of the VIKING T5.

Garden shredders must deliver high performance. They finely shred branches and other plant trimmings and thus create order in the garden. The VIKING GE 35 L electric garden shredder now performs this task powerfully, but even more quietly than before. It has recently been awarded the "Blue Angel" environmental label for its quiet operation.

The best and most creative film productions are presented awards by an international network of judges and representatives in over 65 countries at the festival. The panel of prominent judges bestows awards to the worlds' best films in several categories from among submissions from 30 countries.

The film "VIKING - Green Passion" received a "Finalist Award" in the category "Industrial Products", together with 3 further international submissions from Germany, Hong Kong and Singapore.
