Operation and Service
The MB 858 meets all demands. A large number of adjustment possibilities make work more comfortable. Due to this fact work is easy and you are well equipped for various demands.
Central height adjustment
The cutting height can be adjusted to one of 7 levels via a lever. This is easily performed by means of an integral gas-pressure cylinder. Central cutting height adjustment enables the user to adapt the appliance quickly and simply to the current operating conditions.
Individual height adjustment
The wheels on the right-hand side of the mower can be raised of lowered from the middle position in 2 stages (adjustment range: 42 mm). This allows lawn edges to be cut with constant precision.
Pivoting handlebar
For comfortable mowing alongside fences and other obstacles, the handlebar can be pivoted from side to side by means of a rotary handle.
Height-adjustable handlebar
The height of the handlebar can be easily adjusted to the height of the user. The adjustment range is 200 mm (8 inches).
Easy to clean
With the handlebar fully folded, the mower can be tipped onto the lower part of the handlebar allowing generous access for cleaning and servicing (e.g. changing the blade).
Cleaning of air filter
The air filter is accessed directly via a flap on the engine and can be cleaned and replaced quickly without the use of tools.
Service flap
A maintenance flap is located next to the rear discharge chute allowing access to the gearbox and chain.
