VIKING GE 35 L electric garden shredder is awarded the “Blue Angel” environmental label for quiet operation

Garden shredders must deliver high performance. They finely shred branches and other plant trimmings and thus create order in the garden. The VIKING GE 35 L electric garden shredder now performs this task powerfully, but even more quietly than before. It has recently been awarded the “Blue Angel” environmental label for its quiet operation.

Environmental protection is naturally a high priority for a manufacturer of gardening appliances. And it is particularly pleasing when these endeavours are rewarded with the award of a recognised environmental label.

The VIKING GE 35 L electric garden shredder has now been awarded the “Blue Angel” environmental label, the first and the oldest environmental protection-related hallmark worldwide. The completely reworked model has earned this recognition, which is awarded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, for its quiet operation.

The GE 35 L conforms to the low sound pressure level values stipulated by the testing commission. This has been achieved by the installation of soundproofing mats and the additional insulation of switch wiring and connecting parts. This means that the cutting roller now operates even more quietly than before, but just as powerfully. The slow-running cutting roller draws in twigs and branches automatically and without kick-back. The branches and twigs are broken down to form material which is ideal for composting or mulching.
