“Good Design Award” for VIKING lawn tractor
|
Press information, February 2009. With its MT 6127 ZL lawn tractor, gardening power tool manufacturer VIKING, Langkampfen/Kufstein recently won the renowned, oldest and world-famous “Good Design Award”. Since 1950, this design prize has been awarded annually by the Chicago Athenaeum, which comprises the Museum for Architecture and Design and the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies.
Approximately 3,000 entries from about 50 countries are received each year for the coveted award. With regard to the decisive factors for winning the “Good Design Award”, innovation, form, materials, design, concept, function, utility value and aesthetic impression of the products, the VIKING T6 Series lawn tractor completely convinced the panel of judges in the “vehicles” category.
In addition to winning the international design prize alongside brands such as Apple, BMW and 3M, VIKING is particularly pleased that the new T5 and T6 Series lawn tractors have been launched onto the market with great success.
