| International Design Awards for VIKING Gardening Products |

| VIKING recently was pleased to be awarded with two prestigious, international design awards within a very short time of each other. The brand new VIKING electric grass trimmer TE 410 was recognized with the "red dot design award 2004" in the class Design-Quality and came out on top in this design competition. The grace of the trimmer is very attractive and - important to the consumer - the user-friendly features are excellent. The "iF design award 2004" also went to VIKING. The hedge trimmer HE 615 is the newest generation of VIKING hedge trimmers which was introduced to the market in April 2004. Besides its innovative technique it is above all simple and comfortable to use. The well-balanced centre of gravity and the ergonomic grip enables safety, comfortable and fatigue-free working in virtually all operating positions. Both awards are further confirmations of VIKINGs successful premium brand-strategy: the shape and the function of the gardening tools is convincing, the independent design distinguishes itself clearly from the competition. Thanks to its ergonomic design, high-quality production and outstanding technical details the work in the garden is significantly eased. |
