| Trade fair season at VIKING: A wealth of garden tool novelties |

| Every year beginning in late summer VIKING presents its new products and innovations at various international garden trade fairs in Europe. At the beginning of September, VIKING was a major exhibitor at the GAFA in Cologne, Jardin & Paysage in Paris and other. VIKING stands for a wide range of motorised garden tools for the demanding gardener. There are new innovations in almost every product-group. A new, powerful lawnmower with the Quick-Start system, two new grass trimmers with a unique handle system, as well as a series of new garden shredders with a patented sandwich-type blade unit. The design of the new VIKING garden shredders was recently awarded with the Red Dot design award. All of these VIKING products are now available from specialist dealers' shops. In Spring 2004, the following VIKING novelties will be introduced to the market: A ride-on front mower specifically designed for professionals, a new generation of robust, lightweight electric hedge-trimmers with a newly designed rotary handle as well as a lightweight but powerful tiller with a reverse gear. As a result VIKING continues to make considerable gains in market share from its competitors and is growing and expanding its already strong position in the garden tools market, especially in Europe. |
