VIKING - a member of the worldwide active STIHL group - and Wincanton open new European warehouse in Strasbourg
The central warehouse with a capacity of around 10,000 pallet places will be operated by Wincanton. "By centralising our warehousing activities we created a new basis for the European distribution of our VIKING-products", said Dr. Bertram Kandziora, Speaker of the Supervisory Board STIHL AG during the inauguration ceremony.
On October 18th, 2004 Austrian gardening tool manufacturer VIKING and the leading European supply chain company Wincanton have opened the new European central warehouse of VIKING in Strasbourg, France.
