VIKING is expanding – extension work continues

VIKING experiences renewed growth

The ground-breaking ceremony for the extension building recently took place at VIKING in Langkampfen (Austria). By October 2012, additional production and sales areas, as well as new office space are being created. Areas for additional assembly stations, a new production warehouse, workshops for prototype and equipment construction, as well as for apprenticeship training and office space are being created. In total, an additional space covering approx. 12,000 m² is being constructed, with a useful floorspace of approx. 16,000 m². Approximately double the existing useable floorspace will consequently be available in the new building. With this project, VIKING and its parent company STIHL are again making a clear declaration of confidence in the Tyrol location. In the coming years, VIKING will also be increasing its number of employees, as it has done in recent years.
