With the "iF Design Award", "red dot design award" and the "Plus X-Award", there was already a shower of awards in March. And we have now also achieved favourable results in international and renowned consumer tests.
In Germany, the ME 339 electric mower was selected as test winner by the product-testing magazine Stiftung Warentest (4/2014).
In the prestigious consumer magazine "Råd & Rön" (3/2014), the Swedish equivalent to the German Stiftung Warentest, our MI 632 robotic mower excelled above and beyond the competition. In addition, our iMow won the valued "dTest" consumer test in the Czech Republic, as published in issue 4/2014.
German Stiftung Warentest selects ME 339 electric mower as test winner
Particularly striking in the 04/2014 test victory, was that our ME 339 was the only lawn mower that received unanimously high ratings in the mowing category. In addition to this category, the eleven electric mowers were tested in the categories of handling, health and the environment as well as safety. Moreover, with 37 cm, our ME 339 had the largest cutting width in comparison with competitor models. For many years, Stiftung Warentest has counted among the most renowned consumer test magazines in Germany.
VIKING iMow also a cut above in Sweden and the Czech Republic
In Sweden, our robotic mower achieved top marks. The VIKING MI 632 was proclaimed test winner with 82 out of a possible 100 points. The mower achieved top marks, with nine points in all three mowing tests (standard mowing, wet grass and tall grass). In the development of its lawn mowers, VIKING has long placed great value on a perfect cutting pattern. Further significant characteristics which ultimately gave our iMow the edge over the competitor models were its large cutting width, its mowing range with a single battery charge and mowing on inclines.
In addition to test victories in Sweden and Germany, we also made a good impression in the Czech Republic. In the local "dTest" consumer test, our MI 632 excelled in eight categories and achieved first place with an impressive 81%. dTest compared nine renowned robotic mowers in terms of mowing, operation, instruction manual, power consumption, design, workmanship, safety, noise level and battery. The intuitive operation of the iMow received special praise and a correspondingly good rating.
VIKING is delighted with its successes in the consumer tests, to which the company attributes great importance.
